B
oard member, sage, friend,
community leader, father,
grandfather, business man, bead man,
dinner date par excellence, pater
familias…there are so many words to
describe Jack, but none of them truly
do him justice.
The Conservancy is well aware of our
good fortune to have Jack on our board
for over two decades and counting.
But while his counsel is priceless, it is
his friendship that I consider one of
life’s great privileges.
I have often thought of the Conservancy
as the jewel in the County’s park system,
and Jack is certainly a jewel of our own.
Over the years when I’ve asked Jack
for advice, he’s said to me, “everyone’s
replaceable.” Of course he did make
an exception for himself.
With love and thanks,
Karli
