The Fairy House Artist Invitational is one of two ways for artists to participate in the Fairy Festival. Although the entire community is invited to participate by building house for the Fairy House Walk, the invitational will showcase the work of creative professionals who can model an exemplary and imaginative use of the natural materials.
The competition will be limited to 16 fairy house submissions by creative professionals and will be judged by community judges. Entries will be judged based on their use of the natural materials and on creativity, ingenuity and imagination.
Awards
All entrants will receive:
- Invitation to the April 29th Fairy Art Gallery Exhibit opening
The First Place winner will receive:
- One year family/individual membership to the Sands Point Preserve
- Two tickets to a 2026 Sands Point Preserve cultural event
- Professional photographs of their entry
- Announcement of award on Preserve’s website and socials
- Invitation to the April 29th Gallery Exhibit opening
The Second Place winner will receive:
- Announcement of Award on the Sands Point Preserve Website and Social Media Platforms
- Invitation to the April 29th Gallery Exhibit opening
The Third Place winner will receive:
- Announcement of Award on the Sands Point Preserve Website and Social Media Platforms
- Invitation to the April 29th Gallery Exhibit opening

CALENDAR OF IMPORTANT DATES
Deadline for this Application: Wednesday, March 25
You will be notified within a week of your submission that your application has been accepted for inclusion in the festival.
Drop Off Dates: Monday, April 20 and Tuesday, April 21, 2026
Art Exhibit Reception: Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at 7pm
Invitational Houses will be included in the Art Exhibit opening.
Invitational winners will be announced that night.
Pick Up: Tuesday, May 26 – Friday, May 29, 2026
