About the instructor:
Paintbrush is in hand whenever Michelle is on the road, bus or train, or flying through the air. You might find her sketching in a restaurant, park bench, baseball stadium and definitely at a picnic. A graphic designer by trade and education, Michelle watched her mother paint in watercolor and learned old-school style: practice, practice, practice. Still studying today, Michelle takes a variety of painting classes to hone her craft. Her graphic design business now includes illustration and watercolor commissions of house and pet portraits, scenic, authors and illustrated maps. Michelle has taught several classes at The Art Guild and recently led her first week-long painting retreat in the Adirondacks. Another is planned for August 2026. Michelle has also created a painting group called Suburban Sketchers that gathers, paints and shares every Tuesday afternoon. Samples of her work can be found on her website and Instagram.
