The Northwinds Symphonic Band will perform an indoor concert in our Black Box Theater on Sunday, June 7 at 3pm entitled “Broadway, Movies, and Light Classics”.

Conductors Helen P. Bauer and Concetta Stevens have prepared an entertaining program of instrumental and vocal selections from popular movies and Broadway shows, as well as familiar classics.

The program will feature a celebration of iconic film and Broadway music, including selections from animated films, classic Hollywood scores, jazz standards, and beloved Broadway productions.
Highlights include music from Cyberworld 3D, favorites from Star Wars and Superman, and Salute to the Cinema, a medley of classic movie themes. The concert will also pay tribute to Louis Armstrong with Satchmo! and also feature classic songs such as Let’s Call the Whole Thing Off and Accentuate the Positive, performed with guest vocalists Karen Murphy and Joe Stroppel. Broadway favorites will include The Golden Age of Broadway and Marching Down Broadway, featuring music from The Music Man, Oliver!, and Wildcat.

Please join us for a wonderful afternoon of entertainment for the entire family. Bring a picnic lunch to enjoy on the grounds of the Preserve before the performance.

The concert will include one hour of music with a 15 minute intermission.

Tickets: $10 per person
Non-members must pay a $15 parking fee
Tickets are available on the day of the performance – cash at the door or by credit card in the Welcome Center.
